Former deputy prime minister Deputy PM Joyce backed Pauline Hanson after she pushed for mass deportations, arguing her comments were twisted by critics.
Joyce made the statements during an ABC interview earlier in recent weeks. He later yelled at a dog that walked onto the set during the interview.
Hanson then clarified she would not back away from previous controversial statements. This followed a major broadcaster airing an interview between Hanson alongside far-right figure Tommy Robinson.
Joyce blamed the network of overblown coverage in its handling of the interview.
