Quebec recently has pledged five million dollars to grow the Bota Bota floating spa the waterfront spa in Montreal.
The cash is set to fund a new boat for the fleet. Visitor numbers have been climbing, prompting the move, according to local media said. The province has so far not released any more financial details.
Work is scheduled to start this spring, in the near season, and the new vessel is expected to be operating by early 2027. Officials say the additional space will cut wait times and lift tourism earnings. The newly added capacity is expected to ease overcrowding during peak days.
