Clare Wright was seen at lectures, as a prominent historian, noted for The Forgotten Rebels of Eureka (2013), offering women’s perspectives on the Eureka Rebellion. Her work includes ABC history programs, including Utopia Girls and The War That Changed Us. With a PhD from Melbourne, she is a professor at La Trobe University, where she leads public history initiatives since 2022, she has been on the NMA Council. 2020 saw Wright awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia. for contributions to literature and historical research.
