The Prince of Wales visited the site in July 2023 to see the extension, glasshouse, and gardens. Duchy revenue funds the Duke’s public, private, and charitable work. Located on the Duchy estate forming a key estate operation within Duchy lands that opened to the public in 1975. The site has grown through a 50-year plan. Awards and recognition accompany the nursery. The Duchy nursery continues to expand with garden center facilities and maintains a focus on nature and horticulture.
