A severe dust advisory is out for Maricopa County and Pinal County today. Dust came in fast. Heavy winds pushed outflow air from the southeast into the Phoenix area. Visibility decreased rapidly across the Valley. That creates risky driving conditions for people on local roads and highways.
Monsoon storms moved in. Forecasters said this happens as heat in Arizona continues above normal levels. The National Weather Service saw strong winds all over the area earlier. Drivers are urged to use caution. Watch for rapid decreases in how far you can see.
