Facebook whistleblower Frances Haugen is drawing fresh attention as a new film, The Social Reckoning, brings her story to a wider audience. Starring Mikey Madison and Jeremy Allen White, the film recreates her choice to reveal what the company knew internally.
Haugen said publicly she has "extreme worry" about a shift in values at Meta and believes Zuckerberg is making risky bets with AI. She said she hopes the film moves others to come forward, telling The Verge she wants it to give others the courage to go public.
