New crossing for pedestrians and updated bus-stop facilities to aid access to the Museum Quarter. Timed to coincide with the Drypool Bridge closure to limit disruption. Road resurfacing will occur from Drypool to Lowgate; signal upgrades and pedestrian access are also included. Local business concerns have been raised about effects during construction. Plan includes updates to signaling and pedestrian access near the route.
Financial viability of the phase The developer, Lovell Partnerships Limited has secured full planning consent for the delivery of 108 new homes on the land. 97 of the homes will be for open market sale and the remaining eleven will be affordable rent homes for The Together Housing Group. The site appraisal demonstrates a positive land value (see Appendix A)
