Riley Greene sent one out of the park and went two for four, scoring a run, as Detroit beat the Texas Rangers 3-0 on Saturday. Matt Vierling took third base for the Tigers. Spencer Flaherty set down eight straight batters before the bullpen finished the game. Detroit’s relievers preserved the shutout intact. After the win, the club named the trio of Greene, McGonigle and Dingler as its All-Star representatives. The selections were made by the team right after the game. Greene’s homer was the only one on the scoreboard. The Tigers will travel to their next series with the All-Star trio confirmed.
