A United Launch Alliance vehicle soared into orbit today from Cape Canaveral. It carried 29 small satellites for Amazon’s broadband network. These will join a growing group already orbiting close over Earth.
This flight ended the Atlas V program after years in use. In California, SpaceX also sent up a Falcon 9 rocket this morning. It delivered 24 of its own Starlink satellites. Another SpaceX flight is due for tonight – Phoenix viewers may spot the rocket’s glowing trail.
