Massie loses primary challenge in victory for Trump
The race was Trump' most important stop on his revenge tour to oust Republican defectors.

Kentucky contest was seen as a costly House-era contest, and a benchmark of Trump's influence inside the GOP. Trump endorsed Gallrein publicly while Massie attacked Trump on specific votes. Gallrein moves forward to the general election matchup in a strongly Republican district, facing Melissa Strange, a Democrat. Massie served since 2012 and fell into Trump's crosshairs in part by calling for Jeffrey Epstein file release and denouncing the war in Iran.
