World Space Week 2026 is running from October 4 to 10 under the theme "Rocket Revolution," built around how falling launch costs could open space access to more countries and organisations. Google celebrated the week with a dedicated Doodle, while Adafruit took part in activities linked to the week.
The European Space Agency joined forces with Pokemon GO to offer a limited-time Astronaut Pikachu to players during the week. Katara also joined activities connected to the event. World Space Week is the largest annual space event on Earth, observed across more than 90 countries.
