I Bought the Viral Starbucks Bear Cup After Camping Overnight

Paden Ferguson and his partner camped outside their local Starbucks at 1 a.m. to buy the popular Bearista cup, which only came in limited stock. The store had just two cups available, sparking disappointment among customers who expected more.

The Buzz Around the Bearista Cup

Starbucks launched a new holiday collection featuring drinks, desserts, and a special bear cup dressed with a green beanie hat and straw. The bear cup quickly went viral on social media, drawing widespread excitement.

Planning to Secure the Cup

Leading up to the release on November 6th, Paden and his partner had talked about getting the cup, initially thinking they could easily purchase it by walking into the Starbucks at noon. However, they soon realized many others shared the same plan.

Checking Local Stock

On the evening before the launch, they visited their five local Starbucks stores and spoke with baristas to gauge availability. The busiest store said they had seven cups in stock.

Limited Supply Disappoints Fans

Despite early hopes, Starbucks only stocked a very small number at each location, leaving many fans unable to get the coveted cup.

"We asked the barista how many they had — seven, they said."
