Hong Kong Sixes 2025 starts on November 7, featuring 12 teams competing in a fast-paced, six-player cricket format. The tournament is hosted at the Tin Kwong Road Recreation Ground in Hong Kong.
The group stage uses a single round-robin format. The top two teams from each pool qualify for the quarterfinals. After that, the tournament shifts to a knockout stage with single-elimination matches. Teams not advancing to the main draw will play in bowl and plate matches to decide their final rankings.
The Hong Kong Sixes began in the 1990s to showcase international cricket stars in Hong Kong, an ICC Associate Member, giving fans a unique opportunity to watch high-level cricket. The event was held annually from 1993 to 1997, resumed between 2001 and 2012, briefly returned in 2017, and was relaunched in 2024.
Dinesh Karthik will captain India at the 2025 edition, as Ravichandran Ashwin will miss the tournament due to injury.
