Aggro Crab and Landfall's co-op climbing game Peak continues to evolve with its newest free update, bringing more peculiar challenges to players. This indie hit has attracted numerous groups of friends eager to conquer its tough climbs.
The latest update, called The Roots, transports players to a dense forest inspired by the Pacific Northwest. Instead of scaling rocks, players now climb towering trees, presenting a fresh and intense challenge regardless of party size.
The update also expands the cooking mechanics. Players can now observe effects on non-food items when placed in fires, encouraging experimentation. Additionally, it is now possible to cook poison out of berries, but mushrooms remain dangerous and should be avoided.
"The full patch notes can be found over on Steam."
Peak's latest update adds creativity and danger to the gameplay, keeping players engaged with its blend of strategy and survival.
