British Death Row Drug Mule Gran Leaves Bali Prison

Lindsay Sandiford, 69, a British woman who spent more than a decade on death row in Indonesia, has been seen being wheeled out of Kerobokan Prison in Bali. She appeared with her face buried in her hands during a handover ceremony as she prepared to return to the United Kingdom after being spared execution.

Officials confirmed that Sandiford, convicted of smuggling £1.6 million worth of cocaine into Bali, has left the prison and was taken to Denpasar International Airport. She is expected to fly to London Heathrow on a UK-funded flight costing around £600, marking the end of 13 years behind bars.

"More than a decade in one of the world's worst prisons has taken its toll on her and she wants nothing more than to get back to the UK," a source told the Mirror.

Sandiford, a former legal secretary, is reportedly in poor health and eager to reunite with her family. She left the notorious prison accompanied by another British inmate, 35-year-old Shabab Shahabadi, who was serving a life sentence for drug offences and is also said to be unwell.

The two were driven to the airport, where they were expected to be handed over to British Ambassador Dominic Jeremy before boarding their flight.
