Riley Keough shares that she has been receiving strange but comforting signs from her late mother, Lisa Marie Presley, creating a spiritual connection amid family grief.
Lisa Marie Presley, only child of Elvis and Priscilla Presley, passed away suddenly at 54 in January 2023. The cause was a small bowel obstruction linked to complications from bariatric surgery. She had three children: Riley Keough, aged 36, with ex-husband Danny Keough, and 17-year-old twins Harper and Finley, with ex-husband Michael Lockwood. Her son Benjamin died by suicide in 2020 at age 27.
Following Lisa Marie’s death, Riley engaged in a fierce legal conflict with her grandmother Priscilla over the control of Lisa Marie’s estate. Although the matter was resolved, Priscilla later became involved in a contentious financial dispute with former advisers. This conflict included a serious accusation that Priscilla prematurely “pulled the plug” on her daughter.
With the paperback release of Lisa Marie’s memoir From Here To The Great Unknown, Riley says her mother’s presence continues to impact her life beyond death.
“My mom has made her presence known from beyond the grave,” Riley Keough said.
