Rapper Young Bleed, a Louisiana hip-hop pioneer and No Limit Records artist, passed away at the age of 51 due to complications from a brain aneurysm.
His son, Ty’Gee Ramon, confirmed Young Bleed’s death on Instagram, stating his father “gained his wings” on Saturday. Ty’Gee expressed his intention to carry on his father’s legacy.
Born Glenn Clifton Jr., Young Bleed was rushed to the hospital in late October after suffering a brain aneurysm caused by internal bleeding. This critical event occurred just days after his performance at the Cash Money Verzuz No Limit event at ComplexCon.
Tameka Long, mother of Young Bleed’s 10-year-old son, said the rapper had high blood pressure and a heart condition.
Following the aneurysm, Young Bleed was placed in the ICU on a ventilator. Ty’Gee Ramon noted that his father had no prior serious health issues but did regularly take medication for high blood pressure. The rapper’s mother described the hospitalization as totally unexpected and established a GoFundMe to help cover medical expenses.
