Vogue Williams recently shared on her podcast that she finds helping her son Theodore, six, with his maths homework quite challenging. As a mother to three children—Theodore, Gigi, four, and Otto, three—Vogue has found herself relearning school subjects while assisting with homework.
On the My Therapist Ghosted Me podcast, Vogue told co-host Joanne McNally:
"I'm back at school though because of the kids. So I'm like relearning with them for their homework. I can do Gigi's homework alright. It's Theodore's I'm struggling with a bit. I'm not even joking."
Maths for year one may seem straightforward but explaining it can be difficult due to unfamiliar terminology and multiple problem-solving methods.
"We don't talk enough about the trauma of a parent sitting with their child trying to teach them maths," said Joanne, who recently saw a meme about this common struggle.
Helping children with homework often forces parents to revisit concepts with new perspectives, making the process both challenging and relatable.
Summary: Vogue Williams highlights a common parenting challenge—relearning schoolwork to support children’s homework—which many parents find unexpectedly difficult and relatable.
