Oasis' Liam Gallagher Calls Out Reckless Fan at Melbourne Concert

During the first of Oasis' Australian shows in Melbourne, Liam Gallagher sharply criticized a fan who recklessly launched a flare during the band’s sold-out October 31st concert at Marvel Stadium. The incident took place on Friday night as part of the group’s three-performance stay in the city.

Reports indicated that at least one flare was fired into the stadium near the end of the show, as Oasis played their final song “Champagne Supernova.” Many concertgoers initially mistook the flare for part of the planned pyrotechnics.

Brad Bultman, an attendee, told the Australian Broadcasting Corporation, “Then very quickly I saw it explode and expand a bit further, and then somebody actually pick up the live flair and toss it back in the air and created more fire and smoke in a different area. I was like, ‘Oh geez’ — you hope nobody gets hurt.”

Bultman added that Gallagher’s first response on stage was a playful rebuke — “naughty, naughty, naughty.” Yet on social media after the concert, his tone turned harsh and furious toward the unidentified audience member.

“To the massive CUNT who launched that flare into the crowd last night at the gig in Melbourne you are 1 seriously fucked up individual and you will get yours trust me,” Gallagher wrote on X (formerly Twitter).
