During Oasis' Melbourne concert on October 4, Liam Gallagher strongly criticized a fan who launched a flare into the crowd. The incident occurred at the Marvel Stadium while performing the final song, "Champagne Supernova."
“To the massive CUNT who launched that flare into the crowd last night at the gig in Melbourne you are 1 seriously fucked up individual and you will get yours trust me,” Gallagher wrote on X (formerly Twitter) after the show.
A video shared by an X user showed the fan waving the flare before throwing it into the audience. One attendee, Brad Bultman, told the Australian Broadcasting Corporation that Gallagher noticed the flare and humorously said, “naughty, naughty, naughty” after the performance.
Bultman initially thought the flare was part of the act. He recounted, “Then very quickly I saw it explode and expand a bit further, and then somebody actually pick up the live flare and toss it back in the air and create more fire and smoke in a different area.” He added, “I was like, 'Oh geez' — you hope nobody gets hurt.”
Liam Gallagher fiercely condemned a fan who endangered the crowd by launching a flare at an Oasis concert, underscoring the risks such actions pose during live shows.
