Remembrance Day services will take place across towns in the Goulburn Valley on Tuesday, November 11, to honor Australians who served and sacrificed in conflicts.
In Shepparton, the guest speaker will be Kyriakos ‘Ken’ Tsirigotis, a veteran who served 22 years in the Australian Army, primarily in the Royal Australian Infantry Corp as a reconnaissance paratrooper. After his military service, he worked with Melbourne Legacy as chief operating officer and later served on the Victorian Veterans Council and as operations lead for the Legacy Centenary Torch Relay.
In Mooroopna, the speaker will be Adrian Ambrose, a former school teacher and retired lawyer.
During the Shepparton service, a memorial plaque honoring World War I nurses who trained in the Goulburn Valley will also be unveiled.

The Goulburn Valley communities will unite on November 11 for Remembrance Day, honoring fallen soldiers and nurses through services in Shepparton and Mooroopna.
