Maple Leaf Foods Reports Poultry Sales Increase

Maple Leaf Foods saw its poultry sales grow by 15.7% in the third quarter of fiscal year 2025, accounting for approximately 20% of the company's total sales. Overall, the Canada-based protein producer’s sales increased by 8% to CA$1.36 billion (US$960 million) compared to the same period in fiscal year 2024.

In the first nine months of the fiscal year, poultry sales rose by 10.1%. These gains were driven by an improved channel mix in retail and foodservice, coupled with volume growth and pricing improvements.

Operational Updates from CEO Curtis Frank

During an earnings call on November 5, CEO Curtis Frank highlighted the impact of the new poultry plant in London, Ontario, which began operations in November 2022.

“That's really a function of the positive benefits of the London poultry investment really starting to shine through in a material way,” Frank said. “Operationally, everything's obviously on track. It's been an incredible startup. We're through that phase, and the ability now to get more product into a value-added tray with a brand on it is really showing through in (a) better mix.”
