Alan Carr's agent's brutal comment about why 'he wouldn't get far' as a traitor

Alan Carr's Agent Doubts His Success on Celebrity Traitors

Alan Carr won the BBC's Celebrity Traitors series but admitted he never expected to reach the final. His agent had little confidence in his chances, booking gigs two weeks into filming.

Emotional Victory and Charity Donation

During the dramatic finale, Carr was crowned champion after confessing to fellow contestants comedian Nick Mohammed and historian David Olusoga that he was a traitor. He announced to host Claudia Winkleman that the £87,500 prize money would be donated to a children's cancer charity for neuroblastoma.

Reflecting on His Unexpected Win

"It still hasn't sunk in, it's insane."

Speaking on the visual podcast Uncloaked, Carr said he did not expect to progress far in the competition. He shared:

"No, no, no, no, I did not even think I would get this far. My agent had actually booked in things for the second week saying, 'With your poker face you'll be out.'"

He humorously described his struggle with keeping a straight face:

"I go through customs I start sweating, when I go to a newsagents and it says no shoplifting. I've got the worst poker face going, it's a tug of war with my face."
