President Donald J. Trump called for the immediate end of the Senate filibuster, arguing that it prevents Republicans from implementing vital policies and allows Democrats to obstruct legislative progress.
"The Democrats are far more likely to win the Midterms, and the next Presidential Election, if we don’t do the Termination of the Filibuster (The Nuclear Option!), because it will be impossible for Republicans to get Common Sense Policies done with these Crazed Democrat Lunatics being able to block everything by withholding their votes."
He warned that without eliminating the filibuster, Republicans would be blamed for legislative stagnation over the next three years.
"FOR THREE YEARS, NOTHING WILL BE PASSED, AND REPUBLICANS WILL BE BLAMED. Elections, including the Midterms, will be brutal."
Trump stated that by ending the filibuster, Republicans could pass key reforms swiftly, achieving more legislative success than any previous Congress. He listed priorities such as election integrity, border security, tax and energy cuts, and defending the Second Amendment.
"If we do terminate the Filibuster, we will get everything approved, like no Congress in history. We will have fair, free, and safe elections, no men in women’s sports, strong borders, major tax and energy cuts, and we will secure our Second Amendment."
Trump urged Senate Republicans to end the filibuster, claiming it blocks conservative reform and risks electoral defeat if left unchanged.
