Shoshana Bean Shares Why She Hasn't Seen the First 'Wicked' Movie Yet
Shoshana Bean, former Broadway star of Wicked, revealed why she hasn't watched Wicked: Part 1 despite the upcoming release of the sequel, Wicked: For Good, arriving in theaters this November.

Speaking to PEOPLE at the New York Restoration Project Hulaween Gala in New York City on October 24, Bean explained her choice to wait until the second movie was out before watching the first. She said,
“I waited until the second, so I could watch them back-to-back.”
Bean, 48, is enthusiastic about experiencing both films consecutively, saying she is "absolutely" thrilled.
Her Role in ‘Wicked’ and Anticipation for the Films
Bean portrayed Elphaba on Broadway from 2005 to 2006. She is particularly excited to see the cinematic rendition of the song “No Good Deed.”
“It’s a very cinematic song, and I would love to see it have more life than what a stage is capable of doing,” Bean shared.
She expressed admiration for director Jon Chu’s vision, adding,
“I could not even possibly imagine to the extent that Jon Chu’s genius can dream, can create.”
