The long-awaited Kharghar Coastal Road project, designed to enhance connectivity to the upcoming Navi Mumbai International Airport (NMIA), is slated to begin construction in early 2026 after receiving essential forest clearances.
The City and Industrial Development Corporation (CIDCO) has planned a 9.678-kilometre-long and 30-metre-wide arterial road linking the airport to key nodes such as Belapur and Nerul. This development is expected to improve regional traffic flow and stimulate economic growth throughout Navi Mumbai.
