Arsenal players Alessia Russo, Leah Williamson and Chloe Kelly have been named in the 2025 FIFPRO Women’s World 11, the only international football award fully decided by players. More than 6,000 professional women’s footballers participated in choosing the top team of the year.
Unlike awards determined by media or coaches, the FIFPRO World 11 stands out for being selected by those directly involved in the game. Votes were based on performances between 11 August 2024 and 3 August 2025 — a remarkable season for the Arsenal trio.
Russo, Williamson and Kelly played crucial roles as Arsenal won the UEFA Women’s Champions League and England triumphed at the UEFA Women’s EURO. For Russo and Williamson, the recognition is familiar, marking Russo’s second and Williamson’s third inclusion. For Kelly, this year marks her debut in the elite lineup.
"It feels special when it’s voted for by players – it means everything. They’re the people you want to impress; they’re the people you play with every day. They’re the people that matter most to me and the people you want to do well for."
The FIFPRO World 11 allows professional footballers from across the globe to honor their peers, recognizing skill, influence, and consistency based purely on firsthand knowledge of the sport.
