Netflix Teases Animated Spinoff "Stranger Things: Tales From '85"
Netflix announced a new animated spinoff of the popular series Stranger Things, titled Stranger Things: Tales From '85, set to premiere in 2026. The story unfolds between Seasons 2 and 3 of the original show.
Plot and Setting
The series is set in the cold winter of 1985 in Hawkins, where Eleven and her friends—Mike, Max, Lucas, Dustin, Will, and Hopper—investigate a paranormal mystery.
Production and Creative Team
The showrunner for the spinoff is Eric Robles, working alongside original creators Matt and Ross Duffer. Ross Duffer commented on the creative freedom animation provides:
“With animation there's really no limits. Erica and his team can just go wild, and they have.”
