Karrueche Tran Channels Inner Rapper in Lifetime Film

Karrueche Tran is expanding her career by adding "rapper" to her list of talents. Known as an Emmy Award-winning actress, beauty entrepreneur, and fashion icon, she now stars as a platinum-selling rapper in Lifetime’s original film Terry McMillan Presents: Preach, Pray, Love, premiering November 8.

Plot Overview

The film follows Charlisa “Charlie” Jones, portrayed by Tran, whose bold persona and fierce lyrics attract more attention than her music’s harmony. After serving time in jail, Charlie is sentenced to community service with Pastor Kyrus Owens (Mark J.P. Hood), a devoted leader raising funds for a new church building.

Despite coming from different worlds, a strong connection forms between Charlie and Pastor Owens. As their relationship grows, the pastor's congregation doubts his dedication to the church, while Charlie wrestles with her public image and her wish for redemption. The story explores themes of faith, forgiveness, and fame.
