From January 31 to February 15, 2026, the Mycéliades science fiction festival will take place across France, particularly in Île-de-France’s cinemas and media libraries. The central theme of this edition is resilience.
Nearly 160 cinema and media library partnerships will host screenings, workshops, and discussions exploring resilience in the face of environmental, energy, and food challenges. The program connects science fiction with real-world issues, reflecting on how humanity can confront crises and imagine sustainable futures.
“It’s an opportunity to reflect together on how to avert the end of the world and to imagine new, habitable worlds.”
Library events are generally free, while cinema screenings depend on local ticket pricing policies. Full program details will soon be available on the official website.
