Mike Smith, 53, known for his role as “Bubbles” in the Canadian cult mockumentary Trailer Park Boys, has been charged with sexual assault in Nova Scotia.
The alleged incident took place in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, in December. Smith was formally charged in Nova Scotia Provincial Court in October and has been ordered to avoid contact with the alleged victim, including no communication or visiting their home, workplace, or school.
“We are aware of the allegation concerning Mike Smith dating back to 2017 and take such matters seriously,” said Trailer Park Boys Inc.
“We recognize how difficult an allegation of this nature is for all involved. Out of respect for the legal process, we will not comment further on the case.”
