Mike Smith, known for his role as Bubbles in the TV series Trailer Park Boys, is married to Lisa Melanson-Smith, a script writer. Before their marriage, Smith was engaged to actress Nichole Hiltz, whom he met on the set of Trailer Park Boys: The Movie.
Smith has recently been in the spotlight after being accused of sexual assault. He was arrested and charged on October 2, 2025, in Halifax, according to court documents filed in the Nova Scotia Provincial Court and reported by The Deadline. The incident allegedly occurred in December 2017 in Dartmouth.
The production company, Trailer Park Boys Inc., stated to CBC:
"We are aware of the allegation against Mike Smith, and he has stepped away from his role as managing director of the company."
Mike Smith has two children. His son, Vox, is an actor who appeared as Brenden, one of the hockey kids on Trailer Park Boys. Vox also provided the voice for Moe in Trailer Park Boys: The Animated Series, earning Best Voice Over performance at the Canadian Joey Awards for his work.
Smith's daughter, the elder sibling of Vox, has largely stayed out of the public eye. She occasionally appears in photos shared by Lisa Melanson-Smith.
