Pakistan clinched the Hong Kong Super Sixes title on Sunday with a commanding victory over Kuwait, concluding an exciting tournament on a high note.
Batting first, Pakistan posted a massive total of 135 for 3 in six overs. Captain Abbas Afridi was brilliant, scoring 52 runs off just 11 balls, including seven massive sixes before retiring hurt. Abdul Samad supported with 42 runs from 13 balls, while Khawaja Nafay added a quick 22 off six deliveries, as Pakistan’s top order overwhelmed the Kuwaiti bowling attack.
Kuwait fought back with determination but managed only 92 runs in five overs. Meet Bhavsar remained unbeaten on 33, and Adnan Idrees contributed 30 brisk runs. Pakistan’s Maaz Sadaqat led the bowling, taking 3 wickets for 29 runs, with Abbas Afridi and Muhammad Shahzad each claiming one wicket.
