Ferriday High School ended its regular season with a commanding 46-6 victory over Rayville High School in an LHSAA District 2-2A game. The match took place last Friday at Dee Faircloth Viking Stadium, where Ferriday was designated the home team.
Before kickoff, the Trojans honored their 10 seniors during the Senior Night ceremony. The event marked a special occasion as all seniors made significant contributions throughout the game.
"A bunch of players played real good," said Trojans assistant coach DeVante Scott. "A bunch of seniors stepped up on Senior Night."
Ferriday showcased a balanced attack with both quarterbacks sharing playing time. Dorian Taylor, the season's starting quarterback, played in the first half and threw two touchdown passes. Jase Harris took over in the second half, adding one touchdown pass.
Scott highlighted the effective running game led by Zylon Alexander and praised the offensive line's blocking.
"That allowed us to throw the ball," Scott said. "Zylon Alexander did a good job running the ball. The offensive line did a good job blocking. It was a total team effort."
All 10 seniors contributing on Senior Night underscored the team's unity and strength heading into the postseason.
