Latest Exhibition on Queen Elizabeth’s Fashion Legacy
Three renowned British designers—Erdem Moralioglu, Richard Quinn, and Christopher Kane—will participate in an upcoming exhibition celebrating the fashion legacy of the late Queen Elizabeth II. The event, titled Queen Elizabeth II: Her Life in Style, will commemorate the 100th anniversary of her birth on April 21, 1926.
Exhibition Details
- The exhibition will open on April 10 at the King’s Gallery, Buckingham Palace, London.
- Tickets will be available from Tuesday on the Royal Collection Trust’s official website.
- Around 200 items will be displayed, with half exhibited for the first time.
- Each piece from Moralioglu, Quinn, and Kane’s past collections will be paired with a related item from the Queen’s fashion archive.
Designers’ Contributions and Reflections
The three designers will share their thoughts on the Queen’s fashion legacy in the official centenary publication. This publication also contains a tribute by Anna Wintour and an essay by Amy de la Haye, professor of dress history and curatorship at the London College of Fashion.
Moralioglu described the Queen's wardrobe as “a snapshot of a very long life, a life of duty, and in so many ways it’s a time capsule.”
