All-New Hilux Debuts Globally with All-Electric Powertrain

Toyota has unveiled the ninth-generation Hilux, introducing an all-electric powertrain for the first time. The new Hilux also retains the reliable 2.8-litre diesel engine paired with a 48V mild-hybrid system. Alongside, Toyota announced a hydrogen fuel-cell electric version slated to launch in 2028.

Design Overhaul and Features

The latest Hilux features a significant design update, aligning its style with the Toyota Land Cruiser SUV. The front end showcases sleek LED headlights with integrated daytime running lights (DRLs) and a bold, closed-off grille displaying the prominent “TOYOTA” lettering at the center. The muscular bumper includes silver accents and LED fog lamps, enhancing its rugged look.

Side Profile and Rear Design

At the rear, vertically stacked C-shaped LED taillights and an all-black bumper are featured. The flatbed gate carries “TOYOTA” badging, and high-stop brake lights are positioned above the flatbed handle.
