The fourth Twenty20 international between New Zealand and the West Indies was abandoned due to rain on Monday after less than seven overs of play. West Indies had reached 38-1 off 6.3 overs when the match was called off at Nelson’s Saxton Oval.
West Indies were batting first. Only one wicket fell: Alick Athanaze, who scored 21 runs before being caught by Daryl Mitchell off a James Neesham delivery.

New Zealand currently leads the series 2-1. They lost the first match at Auckland’s Eden Park by seven runs but won the second game at the same venue by three runs. New Zealand also secured victory in the third match in Nelson by nine runs on Sunday.
The final and deciding match will take place in Dunedin on Thursday.
"New Zealand remains 2-1 up in the series with the fifth and final match to be played in Dunedin on Thursday."
