This year’s appearance was especially meaningful as the Queen returned following her absence in 2024 due to a chest infection. She attended dressed in traditional mourning attire, wearing a black hat, black dress, and pearl earrings. True to custom, she also pinned red poppies to her dress — symbols of remembrance worn throughout November by the royal family to pay tribute to those lost in military service.
