Emmy and SAG Award winner Samira Wiley will make her Broadway debut this spring as Claire in the revival of Proof, the Tony and Pulitzer Prize-winning play by David Auburn. The production is directed by Tony winner Thomas Kail.
Grammy nominee Jin Ha will return to Broadway as Hal, joining previously announced stars Ayo Edebiri and Don Cheadle. The show will open at the Booth Theatre on March 31, 2026.
A Juilliard graduate, Wiley recently appeared at the Donmar Warehouse in London in Lynn Nottage’s Intimate Apparel. She also featured in the National Theatre's production of Blues For An Alabama Sky and starred off-Broadway in the 2016 production of Daphne’s Dive at the Signature Theatre.
"On television, Wiley played Poussey Washington on Netflix’s landmark series Orange is the New Black and recently finished filming the final season of Hulu’s adaptation of Margaret Atwood’s The Handmaid’s Tale."
For The Handmaid’s Tale, she won the 2018 Emmy for Outstanding Guest Actress in a Drama and received three additional nominations for Outstanding Supporting Actress.
Ha debuted on Broadway in 2017 in Julie Taymor’s production of David Henry Hwang’s M. The following year, he portrayed Annas in NBC’s Jesus Christ Superstar Live in Concert, which earned him a Grammy nomination for Best Musical Theater Album.
