Spotlight: Buffalo Theatre’s ‘Georgiana and Kitty: Christmas at Pemberley’ and Goodman’s ‘Christmas Carol’ Take the Stage

Buffalo Theatre Ensemble presents the final installment of Lauren Gunderson and Margot Melcon’s holiday series inspired by Pride and Prejudice, titled Georgiana and Kitty: Christmas at Pemberley. The play explores the friendship between Georgiana Darcy, William Darcy’s younger sister, and Kitty Bennet, Elizabeth Bennet’s second youngest sister. Set on Boxing Day, the story follows their journeys into new careers and relationships.

Goodman Theatre’s ‘A Christmas Carol’ Returns

Christopher Donahue reprises his role as Ebenezer Scrooge in Goodman Theatre’s 48th production of A Christmas Carol. This season marks the 25th anniversary of the production and features Gregory Hirte’s debut as music director. Ella Boparai makes her Goodman Theatre debut as Tiny Tim. The production is directed by Malkia Stampley.

Closing the Season at Oil Lamp Theater

Oil Lamp Theater wraps up its 2025 season with It’s a Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play, adapted by Joe Landry from Frank Capra’s beloved film. The play centers on George Bailey, a man whose struggles lead him to wish he had never been born.
