A team from Scania’s company-owned Dandenong Branch has secured victory in this year’s Australian National Top Team competition for the second consecutive year. They will travel to Bangkok in early 2026 to compete in the Asian Regional finals, aiming to earn one of two spots for the World Finals in Sweden.
Seven teams from Scania’s Australian company-owned branches participated in the National Finals, following a knockout round that involved eight other teams nationwide.
“Top Team is a global Scania initiative that celebrates and develops the professionalism of our service teams, strengthening technical capability, efficiency, and collaboration within our workshops,”
The Top Team event took place at Scania’s Campbellfield head office in late October and was overseen by Stefan Weber.
Team Dandenong won the competition for the second time in a row, led by team captain Chris Chilver, who described this year's National Finals as the toughest among the four he has competed in.
“We had good team spirit; we weren’t put off if we had a low score from one of the stations when we went to the next one. It was evident that it was going to be a tough event, so we just buckled down. We allocated each team member to the tasks that best used their strengths. I think we worked quite well together,”
Under Chris’s leadership, the team maintained focus and capitalized on their individual strengths to succeed.
