Regional police have charged a man with second-degree murder in connection with a homicide that occurred last week. On October 29, officers found 70-year-old Brian David Johnson injured at a residence on Richmond Street. He later died at the scene.

On Tuesday evening, 56-year-old Derrick Eugene Munroe was arrested at his home and is scheduled to appear in provincial court on Thursday. Police stated they do not believe the incident was random and that the investigation is ongoing.
