Jack Osbourne became emotional during last night's episode of I'm A Celebrity while reflecting on the death of his father, Ozzy Osbourne. This marked the first time the 40-year-old spoke publicly about the loss, having previously refused to answer questions about his father's passing before joining the show.
In a heartfelt conversation with campmate Lisa Riley, Jack shared his feelings about the recent tragedy. He said,
“It was definitely a shock, I mean we knew he was sick for a while but it was definitely a shock, I mean we didn’t know it would be that quick.”
He described Ozzy's final performance as “the ultimate mic drop,” recalling how his father played a massive gig and then declared, “alright I’m done.” Jack's emotions surfaced as he spoke, and Lisa comforted him.
Ozzy passed away in July just weeks after performing his final show with Black Sabbath at Villa Park. The cause of death was a heart attack following a prolonged battle with Parkinson’s disease.
Jack believes his father would have been very supportive of his decision to participate in I'm A Celebrity. He added,
“I’m still navigating it all, it’s been three, nearly four months, and so it’s still pretty fresh.”
His emotional openness reveals the ongoing impact of his father's death on his life and career.
