On Wednesday, 19 November, LA28 marked a milestone of 1,000 days until the Opening Ceremony of the LA 2028 Paralympic Games, a historic moment for Los Angeles as it prepares to host the Paralympics for the first time.

In honor of this countdown, LA28 released an initial overview of the Paralympic competition schedule. It details competition days and sessions across 23 sports with a record-breaking total of 560 medal events.

“We’re excited to mark 1,000 days from the LA28 Paralympic Games as we set the stage for athletes, fans and the global community to unite in a celebration of sport, resilience and human potential,” said Reynold Hoover, LA28 Chief Executive Officer.

Hoover added that the schedule reflects an athlete-first approach aimed at creating unforgettable competitive moments throughout the region, as the city gears up to welcome the Paralympic Games.
