Snow day: Big Sky Resort celebrates the snow
Big Sky Resort is celebrating a snow day, with the resort receiving over 2 feet of new snow in the past 24 hours. The snowfall has caused the resort to close all lifts and trails, but guests are still able to enjoy the scenery and amenities.
"We're thrilled to see so much snowfall in such a short amount of time," said a resort spokesperson. "While it's a shame we can't get people skiing and riding, we're happy to see guests enjoying the snow-covered landscape."
The resort has reported that the snowfall has been some of the heaviest in recent years, with totals reaching over 30 inches in some areas. The snow has also caused some power outages and road closures in the surrounding area.
Guests who had been planning to ski or ride are being offered a refund or a credit towards a future visit. The resort is also offering a complimentary snowshoe tour, allowing guests to explore the snow-covered trails.
