DHL Reveals Asia Pacific Retail Trends

Logistics company DHL has released its Asia Pacific Retail Trends report, highlighting shifts in consumer behavior and the growing importance of e-commerce in the region.

The report, which surveyed over 1,000 consumers across eight countries in Asia Pacific, found that 71% of respondents prefer to shop online due to convenience.

Additionally, 64% of respondents said they would consider shopping on a new platform if it offered free shipping, while 59% would be more likely to shop on a platform that offered a cashback or rewards program.

DHL's report also noted that social media plays a significant role in influencing purchasing decisions, with 55% of respondents saying they had made a purchase based on a social media recommendation.

"The pandemic has accelerated the shift to online shopping, and we're seeing a growing demand for faster and more sustainable delivery solutions," said Ken Allen, CEO of DHL eCommerce.
