Vilnius Airport switches to electric buses for passenger transport
Starting next year, Vilnius Airport will exclusively use electric buses to shuttle passengers between the terminals and aircraft. The airport has signed a purchase agreement for twelve electric buses to replace the current fleet.
This transition is part of a broader effort to reduce emissions and promote sustainable transport solutions within airport operations.
"This move reflects our commitment to sustainability and improving the passenger experience through greener vehicle options," said a representative of Vilnius Airport.
Vilnius Airport’s commitment to electrifying its ground transport sets an important example for airports aiming to reduce their environmental footprint.
