Abbi Pulling on her full-time Formula E hopes after impressive Women's Test outing

Abbi Pulling Eyes Full-Time Formula E Drive After Strong Women's Test Performance

Abbi Pulling, Nissan’s rookie and simulator driver, has expressed her ambition to become a full-time competitor in Formula E. Speaking during the series' annual Women’s Test, she shared her enthusiasm for joining the grid in the future.

Progress and Experience with the GEN3 Evo

Having driven the GEN3 Evo several times, including at the Berlin rookie test earlier this year, the reigning F1 Academy champion showed impressive pace during two sessions at Circuit Ricardo Tormo in Valencia.

“Formula E is something that is really attractive, and I'd like to one day be a driver in this series,” Pulling said. “It's a World Championship, and it’s the pinnacle at the end of the day.”

Collaboration with Nissan and Future Goals

Nissan and Pulling have not outlined long-term plans yet, but she emphasized the partnership is focused on building her experience and development.

“With Nissan, we've not discussed that far ahead yet, but we're working together to get to the point where I can go on and gather some experience and keep getting better, to open up that potential if I'm able to perform,” she explained.

She acknowledged the support and pressure involved in progressing within the team, while currently focusing solely on simulator work and rookie tasks.

Strong Performance in Previous Women's Tests

Her commitment to learning and practicing race techniques continues to underpin her progress within the sport.

“At the moment, I'm purely just the simulator and rookie driver and just constantly learning, practicing a lot of the technique for the race run,” Pulling added.

Author's summary: Abbi Pulling is steadily building her skills with Nissan in Formula E, aiming to convert her rookie promise into a full-time championship drive through continued learning and strong test performances.
