True Joy in the Beatitudes
The Beatitudes reveal the path to genuine happiness. Through mercy, peace, and love, Jesus invites us to share in the joy and presence of God.
Vision of the Sealed Servants
I saw another angel ascending from the rising of the sun, having the seal of the living God. He called with a loud voice to the four angels who had been given power to harm the earth and sea, saying, “Do not damage the earth or the sea or the trees, until we have marked the servants of our God with a seal on their foreheads.”
The vision assures protection for those faithful to God. One hundred forty-four thousand were sealed from every tribe of Israel, symbolizing completeness and divine safeguarding.
The Multitude Before the Throne
After this I looked, and there was a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people, and language, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, robed in white, with palm branches in their hands.
This vast gathering represents the redeemed of all nations. Clothed in white, they celebrate salvation and victory over sin.
The Song of Worship
They cried out in a loud voice, saying, “Salvation belongs to our God who is seated on the throne, and to the Lamb!” And all the angels stood around the throne and the elders and the four living creatures; they fell on their faces before the throne and worshiped God, saying, “Amen! Blessing and glory and wisdom and thanksgiving and honor and power and might be to our God forever and ever! Amen.”
All creation joins in praise, acknowledging God’s infinite glory and mercy. This eternal worship scene echoes the unity of heaven’s joy.
Question from the Elder
Then one of the elders addressed me, saying, “Who are these, robed in white, and where have they come from?” I said to him, “Sir, you are the one that knows.”
The dialogue highlights the mystery of redemption — the purity and perseverance of those who have endured tribulation through faith.
