Elder Gérald Caussé recently became the newest member of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Elder Caussé is 62 years old and originally from Bordeaux, France. Before his new calling, he served eleven years as the Presiding Bishop of the Church. Earlier, from 2008 to 2012, he was a General Authority, first serving in Germany and then in the United States.
He has been married to his wife, Valérie, for 30 years, and they have five children together.
